DIRTY 30’s Leather & Lace is a one man operation selling threaded relacing needles. This page explains what the site asks for when you place an order, why it needs it, who else sees it, and how long it is kept.
What is collected
Only what it takes to put a package in the mail to you: the name, email address and US shipping address you type on the checkout page. There is no account to create, no password, and no phone number.
Payment information
Checkout hands you to Venmo, and Venmo takes the payment. Card, bank and Venmo balance details never pass through this site and are never seen or stored here. What Venmo does with your information is covered by the Venmo Privacy Policy. The note attached to the payment carries your order number and shipping address, which is how a payment gets matched to an order.
Why it is needed
- To pack and address your order.
- To buy postage and send you tracking.
- To answer you if you write in about an order.
Who else sees it
Your shipping details go to Pirate Ship, which prints the label and emails you the tracking number, and from there to the carrier delivering the package. Cloudflare hosts the site and holds the order record. Venmo handles the payment, as above. Nobody else. Pirate Ship’s privacy policy can be found here.
Your information is never sold, rented or traded. There is no mailing list, and nothing here is shared with an advertising network.
How long it is kept
An order record holds the order number, what you bought, the amount and the shipping address. It is stored for up to 400 days and then deleted automatically. It is kept that long so a question about an old order can still be answered. Your email address is not added to any list once the order is done.
Cookies and browser storage
One cookie, dn_theme, remembers whether you chose light or
dark mode. It lasts a year, it is read only by your own browser, and it
holds nothing but the word “light” or “dark”.
Your cart is kept in your browser’s own storage until you check out, and your order summary is held there briefly so the payment page can show it. Both stay on your device.
There are no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third party scripts of any kind on this site. Nothing here follows you once you leave.
Children
This shop is not directed at children under 13, and no information is knowingly collected from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date at the top.
